Belated January Spending Recap

A while (WAY) back, I posted my January Goals here
  1. Cancel my Yoga Pass by end of this month;  - FAILED they extended my pass for another 3 months because I haven't used it in the past 3 months.... :(

  2. Bring my lunch everyday; - FAILED? I Don't really remember

  3. Buy 1 Coffee once week at McDonald's during the work week; - FAILED

  4. Pick a venue with BF for the wedding; PICKED BUT NOT BOOKED

  5. Book hotel for a trip down south to look at rings & diamonds in February. DONE

  6. Post weekly expenses (this will not be pretty this month!) - Partly DONE? haha

  7. Work out twice a week FAILED

  8. Try to find a new student to take in. FAILED - I'm way too busy now!
Don't be surprised at the huge spending for January 2012.  I included my yearly car insurance in the  spending.

I went on my Boxing Day Shopping for Clothes in January (I find that the deals are MUCH MUCH better in January)

Groceries are a lot this month because of Chinese New Year - went out to buy a bunch of stuff to cook at home for family

We've been eating out quite a bit too - every Thursday, Friday and Sunday nights - mostly for socializing after BF play sports- so it's a bit tough to cut

I also bought a new laptop - 11.6 inch HP - for school and upgrade.  My last laptop lasted for 6 years (Got it in 2006) and now it's time for it to retire - it's way too slow - I tried to format it twice already the past year so I bought a new laptop - it'll do the trick for now!  I was contemplating on buying a MacPro but decided against it.

Wedding stuff is really the Wedding Fair I went at the beginning of Jan.  It was quite fun and definitely an eye opener :)

  3. I found Chinese New Year tough for me too (and I don't even officially celebrate it). I just live in an area with a high asian population, and all the groceries stores were promoting the heck out of everything. I'm a sucker for holidays, even if the promotional materials are not in English.

  4. Wow, insurance sure is expensive!!

I find even if I spend a lot, it helps if I'm 100% honest and post my spending on my blog. It helps get me back on track.... usually ;-)

Hope your month of March started well!
